Meet Daryl Cooley, Ph.D., HSP
Clinical Psychologist (She/Her)
Daryl Cooley, Ph.D., HSP, obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – Child Track. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Cooley graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a minor in Economics.
Dr. Cooley specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with trauma- and stressor-related disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and anxiety and mood disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings including schools, home-based behavioral health, inpatient and residential facilities, and outpatient clinics. She is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has received extensive training in evidence-based interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), parent-management training, and other cognitive behavioral therapy approaches
Dr. Cooley’s research on trauma, child maltreatment, and foster care has been published in academic journals and presented at national conferences. Dr. Cooley strives to help all her clients feel safe, heard, and respected, and she welcomes clients of all backgrounds and identities. Dr. Cooley is LGBTQ+ affirming and bilingual in Spanish and English.
