Meet Bette

Child & Family Therapist

Bette Roberts (she/her), LMSW, is a master’s level clinician who is passionate about serving children and families and brings humility, empathy, and an open mind to her work. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences at Samford University and her Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Tennessee with a concentration in Trauma Treatment. At NCFCW, Bette works with children, adolescents, and young adults seeking therapy for trauma, grief, mood and anxiety disorders, social skills deficits, and adjustment to life transitions. She also co-facilitates the Friendship Social Skills Group for ages 8-11. 

Bette enjoys using a blend of evidence-based treatment approaches through a person-in-environment and strengths-based perspective. Her approaches include but are not limited to: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), and Exposure and Response Prevention, (ERP). Bette has trained in and is pursuing her certification in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for ages 2-7.
