Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Lisa Beckner, is an experienced and compassionate clinician providing diagnostic, medication management and supportive therapy services.

Lisa Beckner MSN, PMHNP-BC is a native of Nashville TN. She graduated from Father Ryan High School before moving to Ohio to earn her bachelor’s of psychology at Miami University of Ohio in 2004. She returned to Nashville to pursue a master’s of nursing with a specialty in psychiatry at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she graduated in 2006. For the past decade, Lisa has practiced as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in a variety of clinical settings treating adolescents and adults.

During her training and for the first several years of practice, Lisa worked with diverse and underserved populations throughout Middle Tennessee at Centerstone and Life Care Family Services, both community mental health agencies, followed by Vine Hill Community Clinic whose mission is to meet the health needs of Nashville’s uninsured. She then served as an on site psychiatric referral for an urban primary care practice associated with St. Thomas Physician Services.

She returned to Ohio in 2013, where she worked for a large and comprehensive mental health center,  UC Health Lindner Center of Hope, outside Cincinnati.  During her 3.5 years at Lindner Center, she focused on the treatment of mood, anxiety and eating disorders in adults at both the partial hospitalization level and in their private outpatient practice, serving a privileged community.  She also provided psychiatric consultation for inpatients at a medical hospital affiliated with the University of Cincinnati.

Lisa’s experiences and clinical abilities are wide and varied, making her well suited to meet patients ‘where they are’. She is dedicated to diagnosing and treating mental illness with a holistic and caring approach. Her passion is providing hope to all her patients and helping them achieve lasting wellness.
