Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Paul Stemmerman is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has an appreciation for implementing an individualized approach in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of mental health disorders. He specializes in child and adolescent psychiatric care.

As a graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Paul holds national accreditation for advanced practice through the American Nurses Credentialing Center [ANCC]. He provides medication management and DBT guided supportive therapy for neurodevelopmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and stress-related disorders, Tourette’s disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, personality disorders, and disruptive and conduct-related disorders.

Prior to recently relocating to Nashville, TN he served the mental health needs of the Southeast Missouri region. Partnering with the Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau, MO he assisted in the development and guidance of three successful Youth Day Treatment Programs where he additionally provided clinical treatment for youth within a residential setting at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center. He has six years of experience in caring for patients across the lifespan within an outpatient setting working at Brad Robison MD and Associates located in Cape Girardeau, MO.
